STRAWBERRY WAFFLES RECIPE BY ANDRELLA'S BLOG

Today's Breakfast special would be Strawberry waffles, it's easy to make and also has some nutritional value. Missing breakfast is not a great way to start the day, although the system makes it hard to enjoy a healthy breakfast or even a quick one on a week day due to the early work hour, this meal can be squeezed in and can be eaten anywhere, so technically you can take it along with you.
Waffles are made from leavened bread or dough which is then put in a waffle pan characterized with different shapes that makes it come out with little square dents and other shapes depending on the waffle pan used. Below is the recipe for strawberry waffles, this can be made within 10 minutes (including the preparation and cooking time) and it serves 4 people.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp homemade strawberry jam
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup almond milk
Honey
Salt
Butter

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl combine the strawberry jam, honey, almond flour and salt.
  2. Add the almond milk and cinnamon and whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Grease the waffle iron using the butter.
  4. Pour one scoop of the batter and heat the waffle iron according to its manual.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  6. Then serve warm with a drizzle of honey and slices of strawberries on top of each waffle then pack it up to go.
